David Catterall is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council. He is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation. 

He has a medical background, having previously worked and trained as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Medical Psychotherapy with 10 years experience working in the NHS mental health setting. He currently works full-time as a psychotherapist in private practice in Newcastle upon Tyne. He offers open-ended, in-person therapy for adults between once and three times a week for a range of difficulties. 

He is also a groupwork practitioner with the Institute of Group Analysis and an accredited Balint group leader.
